Imagine you had some magic dust sprinkled on you as you went to sleep, and when you woke up you could have or be exactly what you wanted to be. What would that look like in the morning?
What we need to realise is that we all carry with us our own magic dust. We can make happen whatever we want to happen!
Ok; you might not be able to invent a cure for type 1 diabetes, or make someone who is terminally ill better, or fix the country’s GDP, or make the trains run on time, but, there are a lot of things that you might wish for, that you can do something about.
What would you ask for?
If we asked everyone what body size they would wake up with if the magic dust fairy visited tonight, not many people would ask to wake up weighing more.
Would you like the magic dust fairy to change your body size by morning?
Well, that’s not really going to happen, but by losing a stone a month, we are talking about a body size change that will take a few months, or perhaps a year to achieve.
Why do we keep putting it off?
We need to get started at being our own magic dust fairy……
You can start by looking at what you want the fairy dust to deliver – is it realistic? If not, perhaps modify the request a little and identify what you can do to elicit that change.
- What do you need to do to make that change happen?
- What gets in the way of you making it happen?
- How can you overcome that?
Look at what you will need to ask others to do for that change to happen
- Who do you need to help you?
- What are the things do you need to keep doing?
- What are the things you will have to change?
