SUPPLY OF PRODUCTS TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read these product terms and conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which we supply the LighterLife Foodpacks (‘Foodpacks’) and other products to you.
The Foodpacks and other products are supplied by LighterLife UK Limited, trading as LighterLife, a company registered in England and Wales (company registration no. 03164308) whose registered office is at Unit 1 Camboro Business Park, Oakington Road, Girton, Cambs, England, CB3 0QH.
These terms and conditions apply where you have chosen to purchase Foodpacks and/or other products either direct from LighterLife UK Limited (‘LighterLife’), from a Counsellor at a LighterLife Centre or from a Mentor.
Foodpacks can be purchased with or without group weight management and/or personal development counselling sessions (‘Sessions’), which are provided by LighterLife Group Works Limited or from a Counsellor at a LighterLife Centre . You can order Foodpacks either as individual orders or by subscription;
- For individual orders: There is no minimum purchase for Foodpacks (although delivery costs will be charged below a monetary value) and maximum quantities apply for each order.
- By Subscripton: To ensure you do not run out of your Foodpacks for your LighterLife Plan, you can place a single order for 4, 8, or 12 weeks for a variety box of Foodpacks. Included in the subscription price are additional benefits which we will highlight to you when we accept your order.
These benefits are available for the subscription period. At the end of the period you can renew the subscription.
References to ‘I’ ‘we’ or ‘our’ or ‘us’ refer to LighterLife or to a Counsellor or to a Mentor where you are ordering the Foodpacks from them, and ‘you’ and ‘your’ ‘yours’ and ‘yourself’ refer to you as the participant on the LighterLife Programme, and ‘Counsellor’ refers to a weight management counsellor licensed by LighterLife UK Limited. References to a LighterLife Centre refer to a premises operated by a Counsellor or LighterLife.
NOTHING IN THIS AGREEMENT AFFECTS YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
Prices
Please note that the prices stated by us for the Foodpacks and other products supplied are confirmed at the time of your order. All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable where applicable. The price of the items does not include any delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable at the date of your order and which will be notified to you by LighterLife or the Counsellor or the Mentor at the time of your order. Prices are liable to change at any time, but price changes will not affect your orders that we have confirmed to you in writing.
Availability
If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item or there is a delay in supplying the items to you, we will not be liable to you. Although we will try to service all your orders, an order of a particular product line can only be fulfilled at our discretion.
Acceptance
For individual orders, your order is an offer to buy from us. There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until payment has been received. Nothing that we say or do will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we have received payment. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the Foodpacks and/or products to you without giving any reason. At the moment that the Foodpacks and/or products are paid for (and not before), a contract will be made between you and us.
We reserve the right to refuse orders from businesses or from individuals whom we consider are ordering our Foodpacks other than for their own personal consumption.
For subscription orders which are for a 4, 8, or 12 week period, your subscription will be a single order and you commit to paying equal instalments over that period e.g. 12 equal instalments over 12 weeks for the 12 week subscription (for weekly delivered subscriptions) or 6 equal instalments over 12 weeks for the 12 week subscription (for bi-weekly delivered subscriptions). On receipt of your first weekly payment, a contract will be made between you and us.
Delivery
You can have your Foodpacks and products delivered or can collect them from your chosen LighterLife Centre. For delivered Foodpacks and products, you will need to designate the address to which you want your order dispatched. We will not be responsible for orders that are not received through no fault of our own, and cannot be held responsible for any delay in delivery. For Individual orders, the costs of postage/carriage will be added to your order, if applicable. For orders on subscription, the costs of postage/carriage are included.
If you’re not at your designated address to receive your delivery you will be left a calling card. Please follow the instructions left on the card using the reference number that will be provided.
Returns of non-perishable items
We hope you will be happy with your purchase, and we take care to ensure the products are provided to you in good condition. However, should you feel it necessary to return an item because they are damaged or not in accordance with your order, we aim to make the returns process as simple as possible.
When returning your non-perishable products, you are responsible for any postage and/or courier costs unless the products we supplied to you were damaged when delivered or were not in accordance with your order. In those two instances only we will refund your postage costs when we have received and inspected the returned items.
Returns of perishable items
In the case of perishable products (including Lighterlife Foodpacks, meal replacements, and ancilliary food and drink products), if the products received are damaged and you notify us within fourteen days of delivery, we will ask for them to be returned, and we will replace your damaged items and pay the cost of return postage. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Once our perishable goods leave the warehouse they cannot be returned if you change your mind.
Bundles, Kits and Promotional Returns
Non-perishable LighterLife products sold as part of a bundle, kit or promotion may within seven days of delivery be returned individually for refund for that individual item.
If only part of a bundle, kit or promotion is returned for refund, the applicable discount will be voided, and the discounted amount will be deducted from the amount of the refund. If your bundle or kit discount amount is greater than the individual unit price/s of the item/s you wish to return, then the item cannot be returned for a refund. For example, if your bundle discount was £10, and you return some of the items for a refund, the £10 will be deducted from your refund amount.
Use of Foodpacks
Foodpacks are only available to persons aged at least 16 years of age, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of more than 18.5, who are complying with the LighterLife Medical protocol. You should follow any instructions for consuming the Foodpacks which are issued in writing by us with your order or which are displayed on the LighterLife web-site at www.lighterlife.com.
For all LighterLife weight-loss and weight-management plans follow the Foodpack usage advice in the LighterLife written materials provided when you started your plan. The Foodpacks are supplied to you and are expected to be used in conjunction with LighterLife terms and conditions. The Foodpacks are supplied on a strictly not for re-sale basis, and should not be advertised for re-sale.
Cancellation and Changes to your Order
- For individual orders, you can cancel any of your current orders prior to fulfilment by us.
- For orders on subscription, you can cancel the subscription within 7 (seven) days of your subscription order and the first payment being paid. Non perishable products can be returned and will be refunded, however any Foodpacks already despatched to you cannot be returned and will not be refunded because they are perishable food products.
- For orders on subscription which are already being fulfilled, you can cancel the balance of your subscription during that subscription period subject to a cancellation fee calculated on (a) the difference in the subscription price already paid to the date of cancellation and the retail price of the same products had you instead purchased the Foodpacks from LighterLife individually on the date of the subscription Order, and (b) a £25 administration fee.
- For orders on subscription which are being fulfilled but not yet completed, you can cancel the subscription at any time during the period of the subscription on written notice from your medical adviser that you should not be using the LighterLife Plan for medical reasons.
- For changes to future orders under subscription, LighterLife can at your request change your order subject to availability and the cost of the alternative products being the same as your original order. On your instruction we can manually change the fulfilment of the future subscription orders.
Payment
- For individual orders, payment for Foodpacks and other products must be made in advance by credit or debit card. Your authority for payment must be given at the time of placing your order, and you will be charged at the time when your order is confirmed. Payments made directly at a LighterLife Centre must be made in advance by cash, cheque, credit or debit card at the LighterLife Centre’s discretion. You can normally pay by Mastercard or Visa credit card, Maestro or Visa debit card.
- For orders on subscription, following your first instalment we will ask your permission to automatically bill you in equal automatic instalments payable in advance over the subscription period. The first instalment is made with your order, and the second weekly instalment is payable by automatic billing within 4 days of your subscription order or the nearest banking day before or after that day 4 (for weekly delivered subscriptions), or within 11 days of your subscription order or the nearest banking day before or after that day 11 (for bi-weekly delivered subscriptions).
- The subsequent instalments will be payable in 7 day cycles from the date of your second instalment by automatic billing (for weekly delivered subscriptions), or payable in 14 day cycles from the date of your second instalment by automatic billing (for bi-weekly delivered subscriptions).
- Payment can be by credit or debit card including MasterCard or Visa credit card, Maestro or Visa debit card. The automatic billing will continue for the period of the subscription. You can then renew your subscription at any time.
To the full extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant products.
Our promises to you
We value you as a client and we will use reasonable care and skill in delivering the Foodpacks and other products to you.
Your promises to us
- Where LighterLife’s protocol is to check your physiological and psychological status, you confirm that you have read and completed (or will complete) carefully the Wellness Profile Form and/or the Wellness Update Form, that the information you have supplied is accurate and that you are complying with any medical monitoring required by your GP and are able to participate in the Plan(s) you have applied for.
- Any questions concerning your health and your ability to participate in the Plan(s) have been discussed with your doctor, or will be discussed with your doctor, before you participate;
- You are responsible for your own health and will inform your doctor and/or your Counsellor and/or administrator at your LighterLife Centre and/or your Mentor or LighterLife if you experience any changes in your health while you participate in the Plan(s);
- You will inform your Counsellor and/or administrator at your LighterLife Centre and/or your Mentor or LighterLife of all prescription medications, non-prescription medications, diet aids, and supplements which you are taking, and any changes in dosage;
- You understand that none of LighterLife’s employees or LighterLife Counsellors or LighterLife Mentors are health care practitioners and cannot be expected to diagnose, recognise or treat individual health problems and no information or documentation provided by us should be considered to be medical advice or opinion;
- You will inform your Counsellor and/or administrator at your LighterLife Centre and/or your Mentor or LighterLife of any doctor or health care professional directed diet or exercise modifications or restrictions;
- You understand that none of the LighterLife Plan(s), food or meal replacements are intended for use by anyone under 16 years of age, anyone with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 18.5 or under, pregnant women or those with medical conditions listed by LighterLife as a medical contraindication to a Plan. Those with a medical condition or who take medications are encouraged to seek medical advice before embarking on any weight management programme.
- You will follow all the LighterLife Plan(s) protocols as advised and directed by LighterLife. Failure to follow the LighterLife Plan(s) protocol and recommendations may involve the risk of developing serious health complications.
General
These Terms and Conditions are personal to you and cannot be assigned by you; do not confer any rights to any third party; and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
If any of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information, including sensitive personal data relating to your health and other matters (“Personal Data”). All Personal Data you supply will be held and handled in accordance with LighterLife’s privacy policy (which can be accessed at www.lighterlife.com/privacy-policy). LighterLife is the Data Controller for the purposes of relevant Data Protection legislation (save in certain circumstances our credit card payment contractor may act as Data Controller in respect to fraud screen services). For the purposes of providing the Programme(s) your Personal Data may be transferred to LighterLife group companies and/or other carefully selected entities (including licensed Counsellors or licensed Friends of LighterLife who deliver or support the programme). By accepting these terms and conditions, you give your express consent to such transfer and handling.
As explained in our Privacy Policy, you can exercise your right to prevent processing of your personal data and “opt out” at anytime by emailing us at privacy@lighterlife.com inserting “UNSUBSCRIBE” as the subject.
You agree to let us know of any changes to the Personal Data which you have provided to us in order that the information we hold is accurate and up to date. We reserve the right to terminate the Agreement if any of the information you have provided to us is untrue or we have reason to believe that it may be so.
The LighterLife On-line Store is operated by LighterLife UK Limited Company Registration No:3164308 VAT No: 666003451 (and acts as disclosed agent for separate supplies of Sessions by LighterLife Group Works Limited)

These terms set out the conditions on which your Weight Management Counsellor (‘Counsellor’) licensed by LighterLife UK Limited (‘LighterLife’) will provide weight-management and/or personal development group counselling sessions (‘Sessions’). (They do not apply to LighterLife2U telephone or on-line Sessions provided by LighterLife Group Works Limited where separate terms and conditions apply).
References to ‘we’ or ‘our’ or ‘us’ or ‘Counsellor’ refer to a Counsellor licensed by LighterLife, and ‘you’ and ‘your’ and ‘yours’ and ‘yourself’ refer to you as the participant in the LighterLife Session.
References to a ‘LighterLife Centre’ refer to premises operated by a Counsellor or by LighterLife.
In addition to Counsellors, LighterLife Group Works Limited is a licensed provider of group counselling sessions at LighterLife Centres operated by LighterLife, which can also independently provide group counselling sessions. (LighterLife Group Works limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company registration no. 08108611 and VAT no: 139 7896 47) whose registered office is at Unit 1 Camboro Business Park, Oakington Road, Girton, Cambs, England, CB3 0QH.
References to a ‘Session’ refers to a weight management and/or personal development group counselling session. These can be delivered by telephone, on-line, or face to face at your chosen LighterLife Centre. Where LighterLife 2U telephone or on-line group sessions are selected, they are provided by LighterLife Group Works Limited under separate terms and conditions. The supply of Foodpacks or other products is independent of the Session, and can be separately purchased from either your Counsellor, your Mentor or LighterLife, should you decide to buy any products.
The cost for each Session is normally £15 inclusive of VAT at recommended retail prices. Product and other services are supplied separately by your licensed weight management Counsellor or by LighterLife. You can visit LighterLife’s web-site at www.lighterlife.com for the terms and conditions of supply of products, which can separately be purchased from LighterLife.
NOTHING IN THIS AGREEMENT AFFECTS YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
Your attendance at Sessions
You are expected to attend and pay for each Session that you book (usually a 4-week module). Twenty seven years of experience has shown that the clients who do best in the long term are the ones who attend group counselling sessions through their weight loss, and continue to do so through long term management
Your place in each Session is reserved for you and is paid for either weekly or 4-weekly in advance. Should you book and pre-pay for a Session and then cancel at short notice, or not attend, the Session is forfeited and no refund will be paid for that Session.
The Sessions that you pay for are personal to you and cannot be transferred to any other person. When you participate by telephone we may ask you some security questions to confirm your identity.
The dates and times we publish for these Sessions may be subject to change where unavoidable circumstances arise. We cannot be held responsible for circumstances, or any delays, which are outside our reasonable control.
For so long as you comply with the terms and conditions of LighterLife you can purchase Sessions direct from your chosen LighterLife Centre. You can purchase LighterLife Foodpacks and other products from LighterLife UK Limited, from your chosen LighterLife Centre (note that not all LighterLife Centres hold Foodpacks) or from your chosen Mentor. Your purchase of either Sessions or Foodpacks is not dependent on the purchase of the other.
Group counselling sessions may be recorded for training and quality control purposes only. By participating in any group session you give your consent to the session being recorded by LighterLife. Where a recording is made, the copyright in the recording will be the property of LighterLife. As the group counselling sessions are confidential we cannot, without each of the participants consent, disclose copies of the recordings to you or other clients or any other person who is not an employee or licensed Counsellor of LighterLife or its affiliate companies’.
Payment
Prices for Sessions are subject to change, and are in accordance with the respective suppliers price list at the time you pay for your order. Any change to prices will not affect orders that we have confirmed in writing to you. Payment on-line or by telephone for Sessions must be made in advance by credit or debit card. Payments made directly at a LighterLife Centre must be made in advance by cash, cheque, credit or debit card at the LighterLife Centre’s discretion. You can normally pay by MasterCard or Visa credit card, Maestro or Visa debit card.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with any order for Sessions will not exceed the total price paid for the relevant items. Each order that you place will be a separate contract.
Our promises to you

General
This agreement is personal between you and us, does not confer rights to any third party, and can only be changed or terminated in writing. Without affecting your rights this agreement can be assigned by LighterLife or LighterLife Group Works Limited, and where this occurs, LighterLife or LighterLife Group Works Limited will notify you in writing. English law applies and any dispute will be decided only by English courts.
You acknowledge neither we nor anyone else have made any representation or promise upon which you relied that is not stated in this Agreement.
To the extent permitted under English law our liability shall be limited to any sums paid by you for Programme membership (if any) and/or the services in question, as the case may be. Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. In any event we shall not be liable to you for any indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of goodwill or loss of profit or lost opportunity.
You may terminate this agreement for any reason on giving us 30 days’ written notice. We may terminate this agreement by written notice to you at any time if you fail to pay on time or do not comply with your obligations under this agreement.

SUPPLY OF TELEPHONE OR ON-LINE GROUP COUNSELLING SESSIONS TERMS & CONDITIONS (by LighterLife Group Works Limited)
These terms set out the conditions on which LighterLife Group Work Limited (‘Group Works’) will provide LighterLife 2U weight-management telephone or on-line group counselling sessions (“LighterLife 2U Sessions”) to you.
References to ‘we’ or ‘our’ or ‘us’ or ‘Counsellor’ refer to LighterLife Group Works Limited, and ‘you’ and ‘your’ and ‘yours’ and ‘yourself’ refer to you as the participant in the LighterLife2U Sessions.
LighterLife Group Works Limited is also a licensed provider of face to face group counselling sessions at LighterLife Centres operated by Lighterlife UK Limited. (LighterLife Group Works limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company registration no. 08108611 and VAT no: 139 7896 47) whose registered office is at Unit 1 Camboro Business Park, Oakington Road, Girton, Cambs, England, CB3 0QH.
References to a ‘LighterLife2U Sessions’ refers to personal development sessions (which includes weight management counselling sessions or session for personal development, e.g. relating to stress management, smoking cessation). These can be delivered by telephone or on-line, or face to face at your chosen LighterLife Centre.
LighterLife UK Limited (‘LighterLife’) supplies products (including LighterLife Foodpacks) which are supplied separately by LighterLife or by its licensed weight management Counsellors (‘Counsellors’). You can visit LighterLife’s web-site at lighterlife.com/terms-and-conditions/ for the terms and conditions of supply of products by the suppliers. LighterLife Foodpacks and other products are supplied under the terms and conditions of LighterLife UK Limited.
With LighterLife2U you can order either or both LighterLife2U Sessions and Foodpacks. Your purchase of either sessions or Foodpacks is not dependent on the purchase of the other.
Should you be dis-satisfied in any way with the condition or quality of the LighterLife Foodpacks or the quality of the service of the LighterLife2U Sessions, please note that each respective company (LighterLife Group Works Limited for the LighterLife2U Sessions, and LighterLife UK Limited for the supply of Foodpacks and other products) are separately and severally responsible for the respective products and services that they each independently supply to you. If you have any questions or complaints about the nature of the LighterLife2U Sessions you must contact LighterLife Group Works Limited (whose contact details are 2u@lighterlife.com). If you have any questions or complaints about the quality or condition of the LighterLife Foodpacks you must contact LighterLife UK Limited (whose contact details are customercareteam@lighterlife.com).
You are expected to attend and pay LighterLife Group Works Limited for the LighterLife2U Sessions that you book. This is because once a place is reserved for you in a LighterLife2U group, that place is dedicated to you and we do not make that place available to anyone else. Our experience indicates that the support and feedback provided at LighterLife2U Sessions is beneficial in helping you achieve long term weight maintenance.
LighterLife2U Sessions
LighterLife2U Sessions are bought and paid for in multiples of four weeks. Four weeks represents a set module and is the most regular type of group subscription to be purchased.
Where your BMI exceeds 30 and you are classified as obese, you have an option to select a closed 12 week programme, as an alternative to a four week group.
Your attendance at Sessions
Your place in each LighterLife2U Session is reserved for you and is paid for each four week module (‘Module’). As each pre-paid Module is a separate contract, your statutory rights give you the right to cancel within 14 days from the date after you have ordered the Module. However, should you use one or more of your sessions within the 14 days and then chose to cancel within those 14 days, you agree that you will pay for the sessions that you have used and you cannot cancel those sessions. You will be entitled to a refund from LighterLife Group Works Limited of any pre-paid sessions of that Module that you have not used where you have exercised your right to cancel within 14 days of your order. To cancel, please send an e-mail to 2u@lighterlife.com or write to us and mark your letter for the attention of the LL2U Team. A small administration fee for cancelling may be applied.
Where you participate on-line we will issue you with an URL (to link to a specific and dedicated web-page) and a password to access this service.
Where you participate by telephone you will be provided with the relevant details to access this service.
The LighterLife2U Sessions that you pay for are personal to you and cannot be transferred to any other person. When you participate by telephone we may ask you some security questions to confirm your identity.
The dates we publish for these Sessions may be subject to change where unavoidable circumstances arise. We cannot be held responsible for circumstances, or any delays, which are outside our reasonable control.
For so long as you comply with the terms and conditions of LighterLife Group Works Limited you can purchase telephone or on-line group counselling sessions direct from LighterLife Group Works Limited.
Group counselling sessions may be recorded for training and quality control purposes only. By participating in any group session you give your consent to the session being recorded by LighterLife. Where a recording is made, the copyright in the recording will be the property of LighterLife. As the group counselling sessions are confidential we cannot, without each of the participants consent, disclose copies of the recordings to you or other clients or any other person who is not an employee or licensed Counsellor of LighterLife or its affiliate companies’.
Pricing
LighterLife2U Sessions are in modules of 4 weeks each and cost £60 (£50 plus £10 VAT) at recommended retail prices. Payment for the first module can be made by credit or debit card, and we will ask your permission to automatically bill you for subsequent modules.
Where you buy a 4 week (28 days) module, then as a place is allocated to you for the group counselling sessions for that module, unless you cancel the module within 14 days, no refund can be made should you not attend or subsequently decide not to attend.
Payment for the next four week module will be automatically taken one week before the end of the fourth week (by the nearest banking day to day 21 of the 28 day module) of your first module. This further payment reserves the space in that particular group session for you to continue. This automatic billing will continue for subsequent modules until you cancel your LighterLife2U Sessions subscription. Please note that when you wish to cancel your subscription, you must tell us before the next payment is billed.
Where you choose to purchase the 12 week (84 days) LigherLife2U Sessions module, at the time of your order you will be asked to pay £60 at recommended retail prices, and to authorise automatic billing for the second and third 4 week periods, which will be billed to your account in weeks 3 and 7 (being the nearest banking days to days 21 and 49 of the 84 day module). Once you have confirmed your order the automatic billing for this period cannot be cancelled after 14 days from the date of your order. Should you cancel within the first 14 days and within that time you have used one or more of your sessions, you agree that you will pay for the sessions that you have used and you cannot cancel those sessions. You will be entitled to a refund from LighterLife Group Works Limited of any pre-paid sessions of that 12 week module that you have not used where you have exercised your right to cancel within 14 days of your order. Thereafter, payment for the subsequent 4 week module will be automatically taken one week before the end of the twelfth weeks (at week 11). This will then continue until you cancel your subscription, which you should do before a subsequent payment is billed. If you cancel within 14 days of payment, then a small administration fee for cancellation may apply.
Terms and conditions for free participation in LighterLife telephone group counselling sessions for weight management on LighterLife2U
The promotion period runs from 4pm on 07/05/2020 until further notice, and applies when you purchase LighterLife Foodpacks on subscription for a period of 4, 8, or 12 weeks.
Subject to availability, select the day and time of the weekly telephone group LighterLife2U session for the same number of weeks as your subscription. The first session will be available from 14 days after your purchase. Each weekly session will be at the same time and you are expected to attend each of the LighterLife2U Sessions that you book. This is because once a place is reserved for you in a LighterLife2U group, that place is dedicated to you and we do not make that place available to anyone else. Our experience indicates that the support and feedback provided at LighterLife2U Sessions is beneficial in helping you achieve long term weight maintenance. This means if you do not attend a session it cannot be rearranged.
This promotion can be used in combination with other LighterLife promotions for the purchase of Foodpacks.
The LighterLife2U Sessions are personal to you and cannot be transferred to any other person. When you participate by telephone we may ask you some security questions to confirm your identity.
All Terms and conditions apply to LighterLife2U sessions and those apply except that there is no cost to you for the sessions provided under this promotion.
Payment
Prices for LighterLife2U Sessions and LighterLife products are subject to change, and are in accordance with the respective suppliers’ price list at the time you pay for your order. Any change to prices will not affect orders that we have confirmed in writing to you. Post and carriage for delivery of Foodpacks is at your cost, and VAT will be charged, where applicable, by the supplier.
Payment on-line or by telephone for LighterLife2U Sessions which are supplied by LighterLife Group Works Limited or payment to LighterLife UK Limited for the purchase of products must be made in advance by credit or debit card. You can purchase LighterLife2U Sessions or Foodpacks separately, or together at the same time by adding them to your basket or including them in your telephone order, or you can choose to buy only LighterLife2U Sessions or only Foodpacks.
For the collection, billing and processing of payments for LighterLife2U Sessions, LighterLife UK Limited acts as the agent for LighterLife Group Works limited. LighterLife UK Limited accepts no liability for any errors or liabilities arising from the processing of payments for LighterLife 2U Sessions. Any errors or liabilities arising from such matters are the sole responsibility of LighterLife Group Works Limited.
Where a payment fails because a credit or debit card is declined, for whatever reason, LighterLife will contact you to obtain new card details but will take no responsibility for either the late delivery of Foodpacks or a place lost in a particular group. LighterLife reserves the right to bill any costs as a result of a card failure back to you.
Where you purchase Foodpacks from LighterLife UK Limited and group counselling sessions from LighterLife Group Works Limited with the same order, only one payment is required and LighterLife UK Limited will process your payment as agent for LighterLife Group Works Limited. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the liability of each supplier to you in connection with any order for products or services will not exceed the total price paid for the relevant items to that supplier. Each order that you place with LighterLife UK Limited (for products) and to LighterLife Group Works Limited (for LighterLife2U Sessions) is a separate contract with each company, and each order itself is a separate and independent contract.

We value you as a client and we will use reasonable care and skill in delivering the LighterLife2U Sessions.
Your promises to us
LighterLife’s protocol is to check your physiological and psychological wellbeing, so we ask you to confirm that you have checked (or will check) carefully the Wellness Profile Form, and that the information you have supplied is accurate, up to date and that you are in good health and are able to participate in the Programme(s) you have applied for. You acknowledge and confirm that:
- Any questions concerning your health and your ability to participate in the Programme(s) have been discussed with your doctor, or will be discussed with your doctor, before you participate;
- You are responsible for your own health and will inform your doctor if you experience any changes in your health while you participate in the Programme(s);
- You understand that none of LighterLife Group Works Limited’s employees or LighterLife employees or Counsellors or Mentors are health care practitioners and cannot be expected to diagnose, recognise or treat individual health problems and no information or documentation provided by us should be considered to be medical advice or opinion; and
- You understand that none of the LighterLife Programme(s), food or supplements is intended for use by anyone under 16 years of age, pregnant women or those with medical conditions, and such people are encouraged to seek medical advice before embarking on any weight management Programme.
If on completion of the Wellness Profile, the result is a “No” or “Not Yet”, you will be directed to the LighterLife Call Centre who will review the Wellness Profile with you. You many then be recommended to discuss your personal situation with your own doctor in order to monitor any medication you are on, and what impact those medications may have on any LighterLife programme for losing weight.
Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information, including sensitive personal data relating to your health and other matters (“Personal Data”). All Personal Data you supply (which includes the recordings of LighterLife group sessions) will be held and handled in accordance with LighterLife’s privacy policy (which can be accessed at www.lighterlife.com/privacy-policy). For LighterLife2U Sessions, LighterLife Group Works Limited is the Data Controller for the purposes of relevant Data Protection legislation (save in certain circumstances LighterLife UK Limited’s credit card payment contractor may act as Data Controller in respect to fraud screen services). For the purposes of providing the LighterLife2U Sessions, Your Personal Data may be processed by LighterLife UK Limited, or transferred to LighterLife group companies and/or other carefully selected entities (including licensed Counsellors or licensed Friends of LighterLife who deliver or support the programme). By accepting these terms and conditions, you give your express consent to such transfer and handling.
As explained in our Privacy Policy, you can exercise your right to prevent processing of your personal data and “opt out” at anytime by emailing us at privacy@lighterlife.com inserting “UNSUBSCRIBE” as the subject.
You agree to let us know of any changes to the Personal Data which you have provided to us in order that the information we hold is accurate and up to date. We reserve the right to terminate the Agreement if any of the information you have provided to us is untrue or we have reason to believe that it may be so.
General
This agreement is personal between you and us, does not confer rights to any third party, and can only be changed or terminated in writing. Without affecting your rights this agreement can be assigned by LighterLife Group Works Limited, and where this occurs, LighterLife Group Works Limited will notify you in writing. English law applies and any dispute will be decided only by English courts.
You acknowledge neither we nor anyone else have made any representation or promise upon which you relied that is not stated in this Agreement.
To the extent permitted under English law our liability shall be limited to any sums paid by you for the LighterLife2U Sessions and programme (if any), as the case may be. Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. In any event we shall not be liable to you for any indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of goodwill or loss of profit or lost opportunity.
You may terminate this agreement for any reason on giving us 30 days’ written notice. We may terminate this agreement by written notice to you at any time if you fail to pay on time or do not comply with your obligations under this agreement.

LIGHTERLIFE XPRESS SLIMMING CLUB
Membership Information
Your participation in Xpress meetings is free – there is no joining fee and no attendance fee to join Xpress Slimming Club (‘Xpress’). You are under no obligation to purchase LighterLife products or services.
When you join Xpress, you have free access to LighterLife’s on-line support portal where you will find useful information for supporting your journey to losing weight, and where you can record your weight at different times.
Participation in Xpress meetings is not available to members under the age of 18. Advice given at meetings is not intended for use by those under 18.
Attending an Xpress meeting and all associated services are not intended to be an alternative for any advice or treatment prescribed by a doctor or health practitioner. Your attendance and participation in Xpress does not, by itself, guarantee that you will lose any weight. The LighterLife website is for information purposes only, and is not intended to be advice or to be used to diagnose or treat a health problem. If you have a medical condition you should consult your doctor, and when changing your diet you should discuss this with your doctor.
It is the responsibility of each member to ensure that there are no medical reasons why they should not embark upon a slimming campaign with LighterLife. Members should check with their doctor if they have any concerns or queries.
When joining Xpress, you will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire in accordance with our medical protocol before starting a weight loss and weight management plan. You consent to LighterLife using your personal data for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy under the heading ‘How we use your information’. LighterLife is committed to protecting your privacy, and all personal data that we collect from you will be used and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which you should read at Privacy Policy.
You can leave Xpress at any time, and if you do, please let us know your reasons for leaving. If you want to contact us to discuss your concerns, do not hesitate to email us at contact@lighterlife.com.
