LighterLife Porridge Oats offer you a delicious and nutritious meal to kick start your day. Our porridge is specially formulated to be high in protein and packed with vitamins and minerals as part of a low or very low calorie diet.
To prepare: Empty sachet into a bowl or saucepan and mix with 160ml of cold water. Heat for 2 minutes or until boiling.
Ingredients: Oats (21%), skimmed milk powder (19.5%), soya protein, milk protein, soya oil, oat fibre, tri-sodium citrate, maltodextrin, vegetable fat (contains soya fat, palm fat), wholemeal flour (contains wheat gluten), potassium citrate, dried glucose syrup, magnesium citrate, calcium chloride, flavouring, vitamin & mineral mix (sodium ascorbate, ferric pyrophosphate, vitamin E, zinc sulphate, nicotinamide, vitamin A, sodium molybdate, sodium selenite, copper sulphate, calcium d-pantothenate, sodium fluoride, manganese sulphate, d-biotin, chromium chloride, potassium iodide, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin D3, vitamin K1, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin), emulsifier (sodium tri-polyphosphate), sweetener (sucralose).

Reminds me of Rusks. Not unpleasant. I prefer a thicker consistency. I think I will chop some Crispy Peanut Bar from my daily allowance and add to the Porridge 🙂

Please don’t put wheat into porridge oats! – It is a pity that LL add wheat to these pots; it precludes me using these pots, which (if the wheat were excluded) I would, because of all the added vitamins and minerals.

Not for me! – I have tried the porridge twice this week and both times it has made me feel very sick. I adjusted the amount of water I added as it was very runny the first time. Maybe it is just me, other reviewers like it. I won’t be having it again though.

Comforting – Wasn’t keen on the porridge at first but now I love it. I found I was making it too runny so reduced the quantity of water and made it thicker and it’s brillaint. It’s really nice at the start of the day or at the end of the day as your last pack before bed. It’s not too sweet and it’s now something I love adding into my LL routine 🙂
