Last year I was very proud to take part in a fundraising naked Calendar Girls photoshoot and catwalk show, which raised £3.5k for our local hospice. And I loved the whole experience. It was only after seeing all the photos that I decided I wanted to lose weight, before buying my Mother of the Groom outfit for my son’s wedding next year.
Why did I choose LighterLife?
Partly because the products were so easy to use and partly because of the support available. I’d actually met my Mentor, Zoe, at the Calendar Girls photo shoot and, having seen all her videos and reels on social media, I was keen to get started.
Following the plan
I started TotalFast on 1st January 2024 and 3 months later I’d lost 3 stone 7lbs! The first week was tough, due to headaches, but once through that, it was fine.
My favourite products are the Jerk Noodle Fastpot and the Peanut Bar – and I’m still using Foodpacks on an almost daily basis now I’ve moved on to the weight Management plan.
Mentoring, Group Support, and Mindfulness
I loved being part of Zoe’s 12 week closed group. We all started together and built good relationships over the weeks, it was really helpful and supportive. And Zoe’s WhatsApp group is really useful for sharing tips and stories
One time, Zoe asked me to come and see her for a catch up, but then she sprung a surprise – the “rucksack trick”! She’d filled a rucksack with the same weight that I’d lost and asked me to put it on. It actually took both of us to lift the bag, and it was incredibly powerful to feel in my hands exactly how much weight I’d lost.
What’s changed for me now that I’ve lost my weight?
It’s nice to wear more fitted things and not feel I have to try and cover up. I’ve dropped from a size 20 / 22 top to a 16, although I’m still an 18 bottom, but I’m a lot more comfortable and can walk a lot further and bend more easily. I no longer feel like people are staring at me and I just feel better about myself.
My step-daughter even bought me a jumpsuit for my birthday and I was so shocked as it’s completely different to what I usually wear, I’d never have picked up anything like that myself. I didn’t think it would ever fit me either but, after lots of encouragement, I tried it on and loved it! So much so that I wore it on a recent cruise holiday.
My husband and I have also bought a new motorhome and recently took a trip to the Lake District. We went on a lovely walk and it was only when we got back to our motorhome that I realised we’d actually walked 14 ½ miles!! I couldn’t believe it was that far, I’d never have been able to do that 3 months earlier.
What have I learned?
I’ve learned how to deal with food in a more positive manner.
What I’d say to anyone thinking about starting LighterLife.
It’s hard to start with but, once you get into the right mindset, you can definitely do it.
