Foodpacks and nutrition

Foodpacks are the range of foods used by LighterLife to facilitate weight loss in patients.

 

The current range includes soups, shakes, porridge and bars. Drink mixes and Fibre Mix, containing inulin or fructo-oligosaccharides, are also available.

 

For patients with a starting BMI between 25 and 29.9

 

These patients can join our low-calorie diet programme, LighterLife Lite.

 

This provides 800 - 1200 kcal per day from a conventional meal and three Foodpacks.

 

LighterLife Lite uses three Foodpacks a day (includes soups, shakes, porridge and bars), providing:

  • A minimum of 37.5g protein and 37.5g carbohydrate.
  • An average of 11.9g fat.
  • A minimum of 7.5g fibre.
  • At least 75% of the recommended daily allowances (RDAs) for key vitamins and minerals.

 

These are supplemented by a conventional meal.

 

For patients with a starting BMI of 30 or more

 

These patients can join our very-low-calorie diet programme, LighterLife Total.

 

LighterLife Total uses four Foodpacks a day (including soups, shakes, porridge and bars), providing:

  • An average of 500-600 kcal.
  • A minimum of 50g protein and 50g carbohydrate.
  • 10 - 17g fibre.
  • An average of 15.9g fat.
  • At least 100% of the recommended daily allowances (RDAs) for key vitamins and minerals.
