LighterLife

For men and women who are one stone or more overweight

What’s impressive about LighterLife is that it’s not just weight reduction being induced, but behavioural changes being taught, and background information and advice being offered. New habits are formed which will last much longer than the actual programme itself, and that’s very important. The results I have seen from my patients on LighterLife are very impressive.

Professor David Haslam: GP and Chair of the National Obesity Forum

A new study in the Journal of Diabetes shows greater weight loss and improved cardiovascular risk were achieved with the LighterLife Total VLCD compared a with low-carbohydrate/high-protein (LCHP) diet and a 600 kcal-deficit diet.

We are delighted to make you aware of a new position statement recently produced by the National Obesity Forum (NOF) concerning the use of very low energy diets as an intervention in the area of weight management.

This statement aims to clarify some of the issues around the use of a very low energy diet with the obese patient and LighterLife was pleased to provide an educational grant in order that this important piece of work could happen.
