LighterLife's programmes have been
developed by psychotherapists, psychologists and counsellors with
many years’ experience of working with weight issues. They’re based
around proven and well respected techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy and transactional
analysis to help you understand more about your relationship
with food. Because once you’ve identified your own personal reasons
for overeating, you can start to deal with them in ways that don’t
involve food.
You can learn all about these techniques in
your weekly group meetings. They’re single sex and with
no more than 12 members, so you'll get plenty of support and all
the encouragement you need to stay focused on your weight-loss
goal. Weighing is done discreetly and with no fuss, leaving you
free to concentrate on making the most of the techniques for
lasting change that we offer, through our four-week weight-loss
modules.
Group meetings are such an important part of
your LighterLife weight-loss journey it's important you feel able
to speak open and honestly. To create a supportive environment
where you can work towards achieving your best possible weight
loss, your group is only open to new members in the first week of
each four-week module.
