LighterLife has been developed by
psychotherapists, psychologists and counsellors with many years’
experience of working with weight issues. They’re based around
proven and well respected techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy and transactional
analysis to help you understand more about your relationship
with food. Because once you’ve identified your own personal reasons
for overeating, you can start to deal with them in ways that don’t
involve food.
You can learn all about these techniques in
your weekly group meetings. They’re single sex and with
no more than 12 members, so you'll get plenty of support and all
the encouragement you need to stay focused on your weight-loss
goal. Weighing is done discreetly and with no fuss, leaving you
free to concentrate on making the most of the techniques for
lasting change that we offer.
Group meetings are such an important part of
your LighterLife weight-loss journey it's important you feel able
to speak open and honestly.
On the Foundation Programme, no one new will
join your group after week three. If you’re on LighterLife for Men
or LighterLife Lite, no one new will join after week one of
each module. This helps create an environment where you feel
supported and able to discuss things honestly and openly.
